Trolley In 1903, electric-powered rail trolley service began between the French Lick Springs Hotel and West Baden Springs Hotel and continued for 16 years. In 1916, the trolley was so successful that 250,000 passengers were tallied as paying a nickel a ride. In 2014, trolley service returned thanks to preservation efforts between the hotels and the Indiana Railway Museum for funding to refurbish a vintage trolley to replicate the 1903 railcar, as well as restore the original track. The current diesel-powered trolley operates daily, transporting 100,000+ annually using the same route.
