Ojai Valley Inn, AAA Five Diamond Award recipient, exemplifies casual elegance at its finest. Located on 220 tree-lined acres, the Inn’s 303 spacious guestrooms evoke a feeling of California’s rich history. Seven culinary outlets with menus focusing on local ingredients, prestigious Spa Ojai, and Golf Ojai complete the perfect scene for a memorable getaway. Surrounded by the Los Padres National Forest and majestic Topatopa Mountains, Ojai’s unique micro climate offers the ideal setting for many outdoor activities and adventures. Anticipatory service levels enhance and personalize each guest’s experience, and offers the epitome of luxury and a discovery of true sense of place to discerning travelers.

Discover

  • Discover the grand Spanish Colonial style façade of the Ojai Valley Inn. Tucked within the Topatopa Mountains in the mystical Ojai Valley, this iconic luxury resort has been one of California’s most revered destinations since it opened in 1923.
  • Discover the 200-year-old oak trees of the Ojai Valley Inn, which tower over the 220 lush acres of the resort. Be sure to see these stately trees at night, as they are illuminated by 28 Spanish Revival-style lanterns designed by Paul Ferrante, and accompanied by live music every Saturday night.
  • Discover the historic Spanish hacienda-style accommodations of the Ojai Valley Inn, which are inspired by the Mediterranean and the legendary architecture of the inn.

Explore

  • Explore the Ojai Trolley and travel from the Ojai Valley Inn to the center of town. Take in all the sights on the route and explore the shops, galleries, and restaurants located in the compact, two-block area. Ojai city law prohibits chain stores in the city to encourage local small business development and to keep Ojai unique.
  • Explore Ojai Valley by hiking along one of the many trails, and learn more about the valley by visiting the Ojai Valley Museum. Housed in a historic former Catholic chapel, which is listed on the National Register of Historic Places, the chapel also houses a research library and historical society.
  • Explore Los Padres National Forest nearby. Extending for some 1,200 miles, this verdant oasis is celebrated among outdoor enthusiasts for its many tranquil hiking trails, beautiful mountaintops, and majestic waterways.

Experience

  • Experience all that Ojai has to offer with some help from a personal Experience Planner and the Experience Planning Center. Take a class or attend an open studio session at the Artist Cottage and Apothecary and learn from local artists, become a beekeeper for the day and then enjoy a honey tasting, or play some tennis on the courts used for one of the most historic tennis tournaments in the country.
  • Experience a round of golf at the historic Ojai Country Club. Built in 1923, the course was hailed as a marvel of golfing architecture and was one of the first great golf courses in Southern California. The Inn has hosted seven Senior PGA Tour events, and its proximity to Los Angeles has made the course a favorite of many celebrities throughout its history. Two original holes were lost when the course was redesigned, but have since been restored and the course returned to its original layout.
  • Experience Stearns Wharf in nearby Santa Barbara. This outstanding wooden wharf features a small aquarium, as well as several boutique shops and restaurants. Few places are better for gazing out onto the Pacific Ocean than Steans Wharf.

Taste

  • Taste a classic cocktail in the Wallace Neff Heritage Bar, the most important and notable room in Ojai. Named after the eponymous founder of the original Clubhouse of the Ojai Valley Country Club, enjoy a hand-crafted cocktail inspired by notable events, films, and historical figures that have been linked to the resort.
  • Taste fresh and original Ojai Valley cuisine at the Oak. Named for the towering oak trees lining the entrance to the restaurant, enjoy spectacular views overlooking the championship golf course and mountains from the outdoor terrace of this historic hotel.
  • Taste all that The Farmhouse at Ojai has to offer. This 20,000 square foot epicurean event center is led by a Culinary Ambassador who curates exclusive culinary events, the Artisans in Residence who specialize in specific epicurean skills, and Kitchen Curators. The Farmhouse offers unforgettable classes, dinners, wine tastings, and culinary talks.
