Discover

  • Discover the Spanish Colonial Revival-inspired architecture that defines Tubac Golf Resort and Spa. The land where the resort sits was originally awarded to Spanish architect Don Toribio de Otero by the King of Spain.
  • Stay in the Otera House, the preserved 1800’s ranch house built by Don Toribio de Otera. This historic accommodation includes three fireplaces and a back patio area.
  • Play a round of golf at Tubac Golf Resort and Spa. Built in 1959 and made famous by the 1996 film Tin Cup, this championship-caliber golf course offers three different course options in a beautiful desert setting.

Explore

  • Explore Tubac Presidio State Historic Park. This park was the first in the Arizona state park system and aims to preserve the ruins of the Presidio San Ignacio de Tubac and several other buildings from various points in Arizona’s history.
  • Visit the ruins of three Spanish mission communities at Tumacácori National Historical Park. Declared Tumacácori National Monument in 1908 by President Theodore Roosevelt, this 360-acre park strives to preserve and stabilize these historic structures.
  • Travel to Mission San Xavier del Bac just outside of Tucson. A U.S. National Historic Landmark, the Mission San Xavier del Bac dates back to the 18th century. It stands today as a brilliant example of the distinctive kind of Baroque-style architecture found throughout Spanish America.

Experience

  • Experience the Arizona-Sonora Desert Museum nearby. Located in the heart of Saguaro National Park, this remarkable cultural institution displays over 56,000 plants and 4,892 animals that are indigenous to the surrounding Sonoran Desert.
  • Stroll through the amazing Titan Missile Museum just off of Route 19. Established in 1963, this stunning historic destination was once a top-secret missile silo from the Cold War era. It is now a U.S. National Historic Landmark.
  • Tour the fascinating Pima Air & Space Museum on the outskirts of Tucson. The facility is the country’s largest privately funded aerospace museum, as it features an extensive collection of over 350 vintage aircraft to see.

Taste

  • Taste the flavors of Southern Arizona at Stables Ranch Grille. Featuring seasonal menu items and a rustic ambiance, this restaurant serves unique Mexican-American dishes, delicious steaks, and fresh seafood.
  • Indulge in handcrafted margaritas at the Stables Bar. Beloved all over Arizona, margaritas are typically made with a combination of tequila, orange liqueur, and lime juice.
  • Enjoy breakfast burritos, sandwiches, and more at La Cantina. Located next to the Golf Shop, this café is ideal for a quick bite to eat while taking a break from golfing or enjoying any of the resort’s other activities.
