Delaware
The “First State,” Delaware was the first to ratify the U.S. Constitution in 1787. The state has deep historical roots dating back to early Swedish and Dutch settlements with Dutch Colonial-style homes along the coast of Delaware River Valley and Mid-Atlantic, Northeastern, and Southern found throughout the state. Its natural attractions, Rehoboth, Dewey, and Bethany Beach offer family-friendly quality time, and Cape Henlopen State Park provides fun activities and a bike path to the historical Fort Miles that was a costal defense fort during WWII. Additionally, Delaware attracts visitors from neighboring states to malls and outlet centers to take part in tax-free shopping. These attractions make Delaware a welcoming destination for history, relaxation, and recreation.
